Peter has 38 years’ experience of product development, research and development and general management in the diagnostics and biotechnology industries.
Starting his career at Amersham International, Peter worked on assays for reproductive hormones. He moved into R&D management at Serono Diagnostics, and later at Shield Diagnostics (where he worked directly for Michael James), taking responsibility for commissioning new laboratory and manufacturing facilities and all aspects of regulatory affairs.
Peter moved to general management as CEO of EuroDiagnostica BV with operations in The Netherlands and Sweden, and commercial operations worldwide. The company developed the world leading anti-CCP diagnostic and prognostic test for rheumatoid arthritis. Under his management, sales were increased by a factor of 25x over six years.
In 2007 for family reasons he moved to New Zealand and held a number of board level positions including CEO of Symansis Ltd, which was successfully sold.
Returning to Britain in 2013, he joined Epistem Ltd as Technical Director, leaving in 2016 to establish his own consultancy, working with a number of early-stage companies and advising the VC firm Catapult Ventures.
